These steps will install the Device Manager and start its work after getting installed in the system.

Method 2. The Driver should be downloaded and installed manually:

If one chooses to download the driver from the PC manufacturer or the device manufacturer then it is needed that one knows the name of the driver in order to identify it and install it. However, in cases of unknown drivers, it becomes a daunting task to know the drivers name. So in such cases, the driver has to be manually downloaded and installed and to do it, the following few steps may help one:

  1. The Device Manager option available in the Control Panel must be opened.
  2. As the list opens, the Unknown Device option needs to be Right-Clicked and in the drop down list that appears, the Property option needs to be clicked.
  3. Four tabs appear from which the detail tab needs to be opted for and then the drop down list of property needs to be clicked where the option Hardware Ids needs to be selected. A list of values will pop up and one should right-click on the very first value that is available and choose Copy from the list. Paste the copied value in the search engine of one’s choice and the device will get identified.

After having the device identified, one can go to the PC manufacturer or the Device Manufacturer site and download the driver manually by following the steps provided.
